Kayla,
Thank you for taking the time to note the correction - I apologize and it has been changed. Thanks as well for including the other Facebook and MySpace links. There were so many Justin fan pages, I didn't know which one to link to. But now I see there's a page just for Bent Rail. Great!

Jeremy, thanks for the feedback. I think there are several practical ways auto repair shops could use this. Not all will - most won't. Differentiation opportunity?!

Great suggestions. We work with a bunch of auto repair shops and I know many of them haven't heard of Twitter yet, and if they have, they probably don't realize they can use it this way.

We'll be sure to share the link with them.

I deleted a comment that was made because the reader obviously thought I missed out the "obvious reason for blogging" which was for personal reasons, including venting your anger. Well obviously, that is not the point of this message. For business people, it is often easier to see why someone might blog for personal reasons. It is my intention to showcase a few of the reasons why businesses should blog. Making money (blog for profit!) could also be a reason, but I doubt many small business owners would see it as a viable option for them. It can be a revenue stream for you if you think about it - affiliate marketing and advertisers on your blog. That's still a ways down the line for us here, but something to think about.

by the way, Kevin - you might have strategic reasons to do otherwise, but you also might consider putting that Facebook link (and maybe now Twitter) front-n-center on your website.

Kevin,
Thanks for your feedback - Connecting with your patients on Facebook is an awesome way as well. Probably 2 different strategies, but both effective. Keep it up!

Great post, as a chiropractor I use Facebook more to update my patients and interact with them. I now see how Twitter can take that communication even one step further.

Thanks.
